“Prioritizing.” As in: “I can’t prioritize my work, my days, my life.”
I’ve created this video, about 5 minutes long, fairly indepth, on this common and difficult topic. [I could write a book, but let’s at least get you started.]
I cover 2 steps to move you forward along with why this is so hard for many people. You may have difficulties yourself, or with an employee or someone in your family. It does not come naturally to many people.
And, if you have ADHD, my best suggestion:
- FIRST get everything out of your head. Don’t prioritize in your head; that’s a skill at the heart of an expected difficulty, a gap in our executive functions. It’s part of the brain based challenge with ADHD.
- Second step: now order things. When you see them out in front visually priorities will make more sense.
If you have trouble still, give me a call, to talk about working together on “how to prioritize your days.” So you are doing what matters most.
